MUA Makeup Academy Professional has Landed at Chula Vista CVS Locations!

Thursday, August 27, 2015
Ok, I lied... I haven't been to ALL the CVSes in Chula Vista, and there are a LOT, but the one in the Chula Vista Center was literally in the middle of setting up the display when I snapped a few pics and snatched a neutral palette. I had been there 5 hours prior on an errand, and it wasn't there, so I almost squealed like a little girl when I found it.

Here are a few shots of the display:

NARS Supervixen Gloss Review + Swatch

Thursday, August 13, 2015
Prior to getting this gloss I had been pretty weary of the NARS lip glosses. They're pretty pricey at $26 a pop, and since I'm not a gloss lover that price pushed them way out of the question.

Also, when I started getting into makeup around 2011, the biggest thing was MAC Angel and NARS Turkish delight because of Mrs. Kardashian-West, and all the reports I heard of those glosses back then were that they smelled like paint thinner... uh, what? Well, luckily they've been reformulated since then, so when this full sized one happened to be in a Sephora gift set I didn't end up running in the opposite direction since the formula now has hardly any noticeable smell or taste.

e.l.f Golden Bronzer Review + Swatch

Wednesday, August 12, 2015
I picked this up along with a few other goodies during a moment of weakness at CVS the other day. One of my best friends, Sami, used to gush about the e.l.f bronzer back in the day and I decided to pick up both at the little kiosk to see what the hype was about. Keep in mind that Sam is whiter than white, and I brown up pretty nicely in the sun, so my experience with this product doesn't exactly match her glowing review.

Product Review: e.l.f Lip Exfoliator

First of all, I don't really know how much I can write about a lip exfoliator. Secondly, this is probably the best three bucks I've spent in a while. There. I said it.

I've honestly wanted to try this out since it first launched a few years ago, but never found it in stores and didn't want to go through the hassle of spending more for shipping than I would for the product, so this cheap little thing has been on my covet list until last week when I found a ton at CVS. Score. The thing itself is a little weird because normally I see lip scrubs in little pots, a la LUSH lip scrubs, so the lipstick bullet design had me curious for years.

Sephora 2015 Brithday Gift!

Saturday, August 8, 2015
Yes, it is nearing that time of the year again for me. Another year older, and another year bolder according to Sephora. Personally, I don't like the whole "another year older" thing, so as far as anyone is concerned,  I'm still 21. Capisce?

Shaaanxo x ColourPop Quad Review + Swatches

Monday, July 6, 2015
Oh look! Another part of my massive moment of weakness on the ColourPop website!

Today I'm bringing you another YouTube collaboration quad from ColourPop. Last week I gave y'all my thoughts on the KathleenLights quad, and now we're moving on to Shaaanxo.

Mmmm... dat packaging tho.

ColourPop Where The Light Is Quad Review + Swatches

Saturday, July 4, 2015
Yeah, I'm doing two ColourPop reviews in a row. I kinda had a few moments of weakness on the website a few months ago, which resulted in this:

So yeah... there's gonna be a LOT of ColourPop reviews in the future.

This specific quad caught my eye because a) KathleenLights curated it, and b) holy neutral metals and mattes! The colors (or Colours) were calling my name too forcibly to ignore, so poof, here we are.

ColourPop Megan Naik Quad Review + Swatches

Sunday, June 7, 2015

This is my first official foray into the world of ColourPop shadows, and I'm honestly hooked. Sure, this may not be the most season appropriate shadow collection, I say writing this on a VERY hot June day, but it takes pretty much every fiber of my being to not wear this fall-esque look every day.
