Polish shades from top to bottom: 120 Hot Chili Pepper, 311 Caramel Cupcake, 410 I Lilac You, 210 Mintilicious
My latest voyage to the drugstore brought me to the Rimmel stand at a local Walgreens, and the 60 Seconds polish line certainly caught my eye (especially since the whole brand is 50% off this week). I'll shoot straight with y'all (like always), and say that this line isn't without fault, but for under $2 a bottle, I'm willing to overlook a few boo-boos.
Hot Chili Pepper: A bright firey coral creme, opaque within 2 thick coats. Shades like this I normally reserve for the summer months since they're so freakin' eye catching (and marvelous pedi shades), but I just had to grab it.
Caramel Cupcake: A light, pink-y fawn creme with nearly indistinguishable shimmer, opaque with 3 coats. I had a few doubts about this shade after I got it into direct sunlight and saw the micro shimmer, which just screams granny mani to me, but it actually ended up being really flattering! A nude nail that is similar to your skin tone is one of my favorite go-to shades for spring.
I Lilac You: A light lavender creme, opaque within 3 coats. Aaaah, now this shade really takes me back! For some reason, my mom would always paint my rooms with a light lavender shade, which, granted, is one of my favorite colors, but looks really tacky when you're not a tween anymore. This lovely lilac pastel would be a gorgeous complement to dying easter eggs.
Mintilicious: A robin's egg blue creme, opaque within 3 coats. Ok, who can resist a nice Tiffany's blue shade, am I right? Sure, I've had a few similar shades over the years (essie Turks and Caicos being my favorite), but never at this price tag.
Rimmel claims that these polishes are "one-coat nail polishes" that "dries in less than 60 seconds", both of which are wrong, but c'mon now... since when are cosmetic claims ever 100% true? I'm not all that bothered that these things take more than one coat, much like most other polishes I've used, nor am I seriously let down that the drying time isn't under the unrealistic one minute mark (still pretty fast with more than 1 coat and no topcoat, if I may add). The only things I can really gripe about is that these suckers can accentuate any nail flaws (ridges, divots, rough spots) and can get pretty gloopy pretty quickly (thanks, quick drying formula), but with a good base and topcoat, those can be avoided.
My main high points for these polishes are the price point, the small bottle - this may be a down point to some people, but I've only gone through ONE bottle of polish in my entire life -, and the awesome, curved brush, which hugs the contours of my nails just right for minimal screw-ups.

- Can accentuate nail flaws if not used over a base coat or buffed nails

These are a pain in the tush to find, at least in Florida. I have a black one and army green one that I found at walmart, but they're so cheap that I want more!
